I get the premise of this piece, but you managed to make it through the entire thing without mentioning mass data collection, surveillance capitalism, the algorithmic outrage amplification machine that is all of social media, and just a passing reference to mis/disinformation. Nevermind the effect on teenagers which is slowly coming into clear view. And nevermind what amazon does to independent business owners. So yea, perhaps some media folks had agendas at some point or another as the tech industry slowly crushed journalism (something we really need to be healthy and funded) but you seem to betray an agenda here yourself without a fair accounting of the real harms of the tech giants.
